-The accuracy and stability of electromagnetic water meters can be significantly affected by a variety of factors. Today we will give you a detailed introduction. These factors cover a wide range of aspects from water quality and flow rate range, to pipe condition and installation location, to sensor aging and power supply stability, etc., which play a vital role in the performance of electromagnetic water meters.
Water Quality
The amount of impurities in the water has a direct impact on the sensor's performance and measurement accuracy. If there are a large number of impurities in the water, such as sediment, rust, etc., these impurities may adhere to the surface of the sensor, thus interfering with the sensor's sensing and measurement of water flow, leading to deviations in the measurement results.
Flow rate range
Exceeding the suitable flow rate range of electromagnetic water meter may trigger measurement deviation. When the water flow rate is too fast or too slow, the sensor may not be able to accurately capture changes in the water flow, thus affecting the accuracy of the measurement.
Condition of pipes
The flatness of the inner wall of the pipe as well as the scaling condition can interfere with the water flow condition. If the inner wall of the pipe is uneven, it will cause turbulence in the water flow, which will affect the accuracy of measurement; while scaling on the inner wall of the pipe will reduce the effective diameter of the pipe and change the characteristics of the water flow, which will lead to measurement errors.
Installation position
Whether the installation position is standardized and other factors are critical. Incorrect installation position may lead to uneven distribution of water flow, affecting the measurement effect of the sensor.
Sensor aging
After a long period of use, the sensor may experience a decline in performance. As the usage time grows, the parts of the sensor may wear out and age, thus affecting its sensing accuracy and stability.
Power Stability
Power supply stability: An unstable power supply can adversely affect the normal operation and measurement accuracy of the instrument. Fluctuations in the power supply may cause the internal circuitry of the meter to work abnormally, affecting the signal processing and data output of the sensor, thus causing measurement errors.
